Jefferson Welcomes Dennis Caliguri as Nursing VP
Dennis G. Caliguri, MSN, RN, joined Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in July as vice president of Neuroscience Nursing. The announcement was made by Mary Ann McGinley, PhD, RN, senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer. In his role, he will be responsible for Neuroscience Nursing at Jefferson.
A certified neuroscience registered nurse, Dennis was most recently director of the University of Cincinnati Brain Tumor Center and administrative director of the Neuroscience Institute at University Hospital and the University of Cincinnati.
Throughout his 24-year professional nursing career at the University of Cincinnati, he served in numerous leadership capacities including as charge nurse, nurse manager, clinical manager and nursing director. Dennis earned both his MSN and BSN degrees at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and Health.
“Dennis brings an extensive background in neuroscience nursing and nursing management and will be an important asset to our leadership team,” remarked Dr. McGinley. “We look forward to his contributions in the delivery of this key clinical program for Jefferson.”
