Some nurses prefer the pace and routines of a smaller community hospital. At Methodist, you can practice community nursing while still remaining part of the innovative, collegial Jefferson family. The facility, atmosphere, and clinical services may be different, but the mission and the standard of care are the same.
Methodist Hospital offers the following clinical services:
Perioperative Services
Our perioperative services include:
- Seven operating rooms
- Ambulatory Procedure/Same-day Admission Unit, which provides care to ambulatory patients undergoing same-day short procedures
- Two endoscopy suites
- Post-anesthesia Care Unit
Critical Care Services
Our critical care services include:
- Pulmonary care services (respiratory care, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopies)
- Emergency Department (annual visitation of 25,000 patients)
- Two Intermediate Cardiac CareUnits, comprising 57 beds with continuous telemetry capability
- A nine-bed Critical Care Unit for acute cardiac conditions and emergencies along with an 11-bed ICU for complicated post-operative care and persons with conditions that affect multiple body systems, including hemodialysis
Medical/Surgical Services
Our medical/surgical services include:
- A 47-bed Med/Surg unit for varied conditions
- An eight-bed Ortho-Surgical Unit specializing in shoulders and knees
