Sign-On Bonus Program For Recruitment Of Home Infusion Nurses
Program Overview
Due to the increasing demand that exists for nurses both locally and nationally, and to
accommodate Jefferson's expanding clinical activity, Jefferson Home Infusion Service
(JHIS) has implemented a Sign-On Bonus Program for designated Home Infusion Nursing
positions to encourage interest among qualified candidates for these positions. The
program may be discontinued at the discretion of the Administration of JHIS.
Award Amount
The Sign-On Bonus for designated full time RNs in the amount of $5,000 will be paid in three
installments. $1,000 will be paid when the new hire successfully completes the probationary
period, another $2,000 will be paid after the completion of one year of service from the
date of hire; and the third and final payment of $2000.00 will be paid upon completion of
the second year of service from the hire date. The bonus amount for part time (40 hrs.
biweekly or greater) position will be prorated based on the full time position amount.
Payments will be made through the payroll process. Payments are taxable compensation and
are subject to appropriate tax reporting and withholding. Should the employee voluntarily
fail to fulfill a three-year working commitment required for bonus-eligibility, all monies
paid will be required to be reimbursed to JHIS within three months of termination.
Eligibility
Postings designated as bonus-eligible are indicated as such on the following:
Employees of Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson University Physicians and Jefferson Health
System members selected for these designated vacancies are not eligible to participate in
the Sign-On Bonus award program unless transfer of seniority accruals are forfeited.
